IN-HOME CARE

Most options are private pay but some may be covered with Medicaid. Do your research when speaking with providers.

Support is divided between experienced health care professionals and non-medical, companionship support.

The benefit of in-home care can be the independence of aging in place, cost savings, and caregivers support. A socially engaging environment can be mentally stimulating for your Loved One.

DETERMINE THE BEST FIT FOR YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONE.

  1. Call service providers to explain your needs. Interview providers to determine if it is a good fit.

  2. Consider a Geriatric Case Manager or Aging Life Care Consultant. This is fee based service. Skilled consultants can be with you and your Loved One, on this journey, as an advocate.

  3. Join your local Alzheimer Dementia Support Group to share your needs and ask what others have experienced and learned.
